Learn letters through shared structures.

Why families matter
Related forms reuse the same oval, arch or loop logic. When these shapes sit side by side, inconsistent counters, drifting slant and uneven joins become easier to identify.
Begin with the underlying movement, then add entry and exit strokes.
Oval family
Compare width, internal white space and pressure release around the lower curve.
Arch family
Check repeated shoulder height, downstroke direction and space beneath each arch.
Loop family
Observe loop openness, crossing position and whether slant remains stable.
Selective rewriting
Do not repeat an entire alphabet because a few forms are inconsistent. Circle the outliers, identify the shared problem and rewrite only the group that tests that issue.
Connection test
Write two familiar forms separately, then connect them. Mark where the first ends and the second begins. If the join feels crowded, test horizontal travel before reshaping both letters.
